Naomi: All Army soldiers are ingrained with the core values—Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage. I was grateful to have been a part of an organization that brought these core values to life. However, he biggest takeaway from my time in the military was the essence of camaraderie and hard work. Having my fellow soldiers, battle buddies, fellow NCOs all around to work together, and I mean through some of the toughest moments of my life, meant the most during my time of service.

How does AEVEX utilize your skill set and help you succeed in your role?

Naomi: Through AEVEX, I am able to utilize the skills and training I had in the military and carry them out via civilian atmosphere, while still supporting the military. I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with AEVEX and their willingness to provide support to succeed in my current role.

How does AEVEX empower you and veterans like you?

Naomi: AEVEX empowers veterans by giving them the opportunity to utilize and apply our rare skillsets in the intelligence field. We are also able to continue to enhance our skillsets through the austere environment for work.

What do you think are the benefits of hiring Veterans?

Naomi: The biggest benefit of hiring Veterans is giving them a sense of belonging. I think its extremely important for veterans to feel valued, secure, supported and protected, which is something I feel being employed with AEVEX.

Do you have any advice to fellow veterans about working in the civilian field?

Naomi: No matter how tough it may be, do not give up on pursuing your career. The military gave us avenues to succeed, and it is more than possible to continue to achieve greatness in the civilian world. Keep in touch with your fellow veterans and always, always, always stay positive!
